Following, you can find information about how to get and use the Snowball Edge client with your AWS Snowball Edge device. The Snowball Edge client is a standalone terminal application that you run on your local server to unlock the device and get credentials, logs, and status information. You can also use the client for administrative tasks for a cluster. While using the Snowball Edge client, you can get additional support information by running the snowballEdge help command.

You can download and install the Snowball Edge client from AWS Snowball Edge Resources. On that page, you can find the installation package for your operating system. Follow the instructions to install the Snowball Edge client. Running the Snowball Edge client from a terminal in your workstation might require using a specific path, depending on your operating system:

BIG-IP Edge Client is a native, platform-specific application for desktop operating systems which provides Network Access and endpoint inspection. It can also start third-party applications that you configure in an access policy on BIG-IP APM.Note: BIG-IP Edge Client cannot provide Portal Access.BIG-IP Edge Client comes with every version of the BIG-IP system. If you are running BIG-IP APM 13.1.0 or later, you can upgrade BIG-IP Edge Client independently of upgrades to your BIG-IP system.Upgrading the BIG-IP Edge Client on the BIG-IP system1.Download BIG-IP Edge Client (APM Clients) from downloads.F5.com.2.Upload the ISO file to your BIG-IP system.3.Select Install.

AWS OpsHub is a graphical user interface you can use to manage AWS Snowball devices. AWS OpsHub makes it easy to setup and manage AWS Snowball devices enabling you to rapidly deploy edge computing workloads and simplify data migration to the cloud. With just a few clicks in AWS OpsHub, you have the full functionality of the Snow Family of devices at your fingertips; you can unlock and configure devices, drag-and-drop data to devices, launch applications, and monitor device metrics.

We recommend using the latest Linux or Mac clients which support the Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions (AES-NI) extension to the x86 instruction set architecture. This improves speeds for encrypting or decrypting data during transfers between the Snow Family devices and your Mac or Linux workstations.

Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides off-campus users with secure access to the Emory University's internal network. Emory VPN access uses a standalone client or web browser to establish the remote access connection. It secures traffic by encrypting communications between a remote computer and Emory's network.

F5 Edge Client 7.2.1 now supports DTLS 1.2, which enables enterprises and government agencies and ministries to meet new compliance requirements and to stop using DTLS 1.0, which has a number of security limitations. DTLS 1.2 allows client / server applications to communicate without fear of eavesdropping, tampering, or message forgery.

Microsoft Teams can be installed on PCs, Macs, and mobile devices, and can also be accessed via a web browser. Most end users can start using Teams just by installing the client themselves. After they install the Teams client, all they need to do is log in with their username and password.

Desktop clients can be downloaded and installed by end users directly from if they have the appropriate local permissions. Admin permissions aren't required to install the Teams client on Windows PCs but are required on Macs.

Distribution of the client via these mechanisms is only for the initial installation of Teams clients and not for future updates. For information about the Teams update process, see Teams update process.

Teams on Windows provides downloadable MSI installers in 32-bit, 64-bit, and ARM64 architectures. The x86 architecture (32-bit vs. 64-bit) of Teams is agnostic to the architecture of Windows and Office that is installed. We recommend the 64-bit version of Teams on 64-bit systems.

When users initiate a call using the Teams client for the first time, they might notice a warning with the Windows firewall settings that asks for users to allow communication. Users might be instructed to ignore this message because the call will work, even when the warning is dismissed.

Mac users can install Teams by using a PKG installation file for macOS computers. Administrative access is required to install the Mac client. The macOS client is installed to the /Applications folder.

The browser client ( ) is a full, functional client that can be used from a variety of browsers. The browser client supports Calling and Meetings by using webRTC, so there is no plug-in or download required to run Teams in a browser. The browser must be configured to allow third-party cookies.

1 To give and take control of shared content during sharing, both parties must be using the Teams desktop client. Control isn't supported when either party is running Teams in a browser. This is due to a technical limitation that we're planning to fix.

The browser client performs browser version detection upon connecting to If an unsupported browser version is detected, it will block access to the browser interface and recommend that the user download the desktop client or mobile app.

If you are using the Postman web client, you will need to also download the Postman desktop agent. The Postman agent overcomes the Cross Object Resource Sharing (CORS) limitations of browsers, and facilitates API request sending from your browser version of Postman. Read the blog post.

If you want to be first in line to experience new features, download our latest Canary builds available for OSX (Intel and Apple chips) / Windows (x64) / Linux (x64) for a sneak peek. Our Canary builds are designed for early adopters, and may sometimes break.

From off campus, the Husky OnNet VPN client is also required. Husky OnNet is currently supported on Windows 7 and later. For information on the Husky OnNet service, please visit the IT Connect page.

MacOS requires the installation of the Microsoft Remote Desktop app. On UWB owned Mac computers, this application is pre-installed for convenience. On personally owned Mac computers, this application can be downloaded and installed from the Mac App Store. Compatibility requirements are macOS 10.13 or later and a 64-bit processor.

To connect from your home computer, you will need to download the Microsoft Remote Desktop client from the App Store if you do not already have it. An Apple ID is required to download the program. Once installed:

Even though the experience is similar to a standalone desktop app, the PWA version of Yammer is still connected to the browser it was downloaded from. See instructions below for how to install this from various modern browsers.

Alternatively, you can also access and monitor your security system using your mobile device. To access your security system on your mobile device, please download the compatible app.

Important: If your computer is in Dartmouth's Device Assurance Program (DAP), the GlobalProtect client is already installed and configured on your computer. Please see the Run GlobalProtect VPN article. If your computer is not in DAP, follow the steps below.

Note: You may see a System Extension Blocked pop up window like the one below. Even if you do not see the pop up and are using a macOS later than High Sierra(10.13), you need to click Open Security Preferences and click Allow in the "Allow apps downloaded from" section.

Remote Access VPN ensures that the connections between corporate networks and remote and mobile devices are secure and can be accessed virtually anywhere users are located. A secure remote access solution promotes collaboration by connecting global virtual teams at headquarters, branch offices, remote locations, or mobile users on the go.
